My name is Eva, and I am currently a graduate student at Columbia University’s School of Professional Studies, where I am a candidate for an MS in Narrative Medicine. I will be graduating in May 2025 and matriculating to medical school in July 2025. I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2023. There, I received my BA in English, with a concentration in Creative Writing and a Chemistry minor, all while on the pre-medical track.
While at Penn, I served as an executive editor at 34th Street, Penn's premier arts and culture magazine, overseeing and editing countless pieces for publication, and worked as a TA under the renowned English professor Al Filreis. Suffice to say, I have extensive editing experience, and pride myself on ensuring each writer feels their voice is heard. My own writing can be found in various publications, including but not limited to The Wall Street Journal, Stanford's "Anastomosis," The Forward, and Equilibria Magazine.
It is my passion and penchant for writing that I feel has allowed me to succeed in each admissions process I've endured—college, graduate school, and medical school. Most recently, my medical school application earned me interviews at distinguished institutions like Harvard Medical School, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and more.
